About me

I believe in anti-oppressive loving care. I recognize we live in a world where wellness culture is heavily co-opted by capitalist and white supremacist motives. I’ve witnessed modern psychotherapy as colonial, biased and oppressive. While I believe in actively decolonizing my practice, I am an Associate Professional Clinical Counselor in the state of CA.

I attempt to hold systems accountable for their mistreatment of and violence against individuals, who are too often blamed for the sickness of this society. I redirect the blame to the system and encourage you to do the same. We’re all here to pave new paths for ourselves and our communities and I hope to help reconnect, guide and ground you to your inner knowing.

There is so much noise, information and chaos in our world that is intentionally meant to keep us from accessing our power. My counseling is guided by compassion, curiosity and non-judgment, encouraging you to reclaim your power.

You can anticipate our work will include slowing down, tuning into the body, working with energy and boundaries, accessing higher spiritual wisdom, breath-work, meditation, dreamwork and incorporating creative expressions like dance, music, movement, art, and play to support healing.

ABOUT MY OFFERINGS

  • Mindfulness-based, trauma informed, and whole-person-centered, I look at the complexity of an individual, in relationship to social systems, with heartfelt conscientiousness. I grew up in the East Bay, a community of individuals known for radical resistance and activism, and that encouraged in me radical resistance to systematic oppression. This led me to study Sociology and Mindfulness-Based Transpersonal Psychology. Transpersonal can be broken down to mean "beyond the self" – "trans" is beyond, "personal" is the self. As a Transpersonal Counselor I aim to bridge the values of social justice with spiritual faith, as I work to build an alternative form of care and wellness. 

    This alternative form of care is community oriented. I will create spaces for folx to come together, express, witness one another, and share in the magic of healing through feeling. Individual counseling is a valuable opportunity for people to evaluate themselves, heal and grow, however, I know cost is a huge barrier to access for a lot of folx. I also think hyper fixation on individualism is bad for us, I believe community care is the most sustainable and nurturing form of healing. Our ancestors knew there was no healing without community. If we inherit the generational trauma we also inherit the generational wisdom. I host community events and workshops both in person and virtually at affordable rates. Your wisdom is as important as mine and I believe everyone should have access to healing and community.

  • My work is informed by Humanistic, Existential and Transpersonal psychology, with a strong foundation in spiritual practices. I use various modalities in sessions with clients depending on their specific desires and needs. Some of the modalities I draw from:

    -Gestalt and Intuitive Energy work

    -Breathwork

    -Astrology, Ayurveda

    -Creative Arts Expression

    Every person is unique in their gifts and needs, so we will collaborate on finding the right support for you. I don’t stick to one specific guideline which means our work together will be ever-changing.

  • My hourly rate is:

    $175 for Individual

    $220 for Couples

    Sliding Scale: $100 -$125 (Almost Full)
